About Us

John Sullivan is a Partner at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery. He has been a senior counselor and team leader for a wide variety of clients in his 19 years with the firm.  His experience includes crisis communications, mergers and acquisitions, proxy fights, senior management transitions, public affairs, and litigation and financial communications.

Mr. Sullivan has led rapid-response teams dealing with high-visibility issues for technology, industrial, service, and health care companies both here and abroad.  He has written and produced comprehensive analyst presentations, communications to respond across global markets to breaking news, and issue-driven advertising to gain the support of shareholders and other key constituencies in contested acquisitions.  Other areas of emphasis include product crises and strategic communications in support of companies undergoing significant changes in their overall strategy, operations, and long-term outlook.

Mr. Sullivan’s legal experience covers patent issues, anti-trust, environmental law, class actions, product liability and corporate governance.  He has counseled a number of Fortune 500 companies on the structure and performance of their corporate communications functions.

Prior to joining RLM, Mr. Sullivan was a principal in a New York-based communications consulting firm.  He has been a print and television journalist.  Mr. Sullivan holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.A., cum laude, from Williams College.
