

Michael Abrahams, a Principal at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, has been planning and executing comprehensive strategic communications programs for major corporations and other institutions for the last fifteen years.
At Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, Mr. Abrahams provides communications counsel to senior executives at companies in a range of industries, including financial services, transportation, automotive, energy, marketing information, technology, and media. His practice focuses on crisis communications, executive visibility, global employee communications, investor and media relations, and internal and external communications strategies supporting organizational change. He also works extensively with complex corporate issues and announcements, including mergers and acquisitions, bankruptcies and restructurings, executive changes, litigation, corporate governance matters, regulatory investigations, and labor negotiations.
Before joining the firm in 2000, Mr. Abrahams oversaw communications and brand management for National Public Radio (NPR) and, before that, served as a member of NPR’s lobbying staff. He also has worked for federal and state lobbying organizations and several political campaigns.
Mr. Abrahams received an M.A. in Politics and Public Policy from the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin. He lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and son.
