Mary Jane Walker, an Executive Vice President at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery, has extensive experience in health care and other media relations and communications. She has worked in media relations for the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD and for a variety of other organizations in biotechnology, media, consumer products, and health care.

Prior to joining RLM, Ms. Walker coordinated more than 1,800 media interviews as press secretary to National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, one of the world’s leading AIDS researchers. She coordinated additional press relations for the Institute, acted as spokesperson, pitched news stories, and arranged interviews. She also has expertise in handling TV/video and radio crews, and in arranging satellite feeds, as well as production of video b-rolls and video news releases, and organizing press conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, and scientific meetings.

Ms. Walker served an internship with WUSA Television in Washington, D.C., and worked as a public relations representative for Scopes Garcia & Associates, an advertising and public relations firm, where she managed western regional public relations accounts. She coordinated regional and local area promotions, press conferences, and film screenings.

Ms. Walker holds an M.A. in public communications from American University in Washington, D.C. and a B.S. in journalism and mass communications from the University of Utah.
