About Us

Sean M. Wood is an Executive Vice President at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery specializing in corporate positioning, crisis management, corporate reorganizations and restructurings, employee communications, litigation support, and brand communications. 

He has broad experience in developing and managing communications strategies for a wide variety of clients including healthcare, financial services, technology, energy, and consumer products and services companies.  Some clients have included a Fortune 100 healthcare company, a leading global airline, a global financial services company, a Midwest-based investment bank and an energy trading firm.

Mr. Wood also helped build RLM’s technology practice, serving a wide range of Internet and software companies.  He provided strategic counsel and managed day-to-day account activities for a major online service provider, one of the first web portals and a mid-ware and software services provider, as well as what has become the web’s premier health information portal, among others.

Prior to joining RLM in 1998, Mr. Wood helped found and served as Vice President at AB IMAGE, a strategic communications agency based in Moscow, Russia.  AB IMAGE managed communications support for several shareholder rights suits, as well as marketing communications and corporate image campaigns for a range of U.S.-, European- and Russia-based companies. 

Before co-founding AB IMAGE, Mr. Wood established and ran the Moscow-based Vanguard Corporation, a public relations agency operating in partnership with and serving the clients of BBDO Marketing.

Mr. Wood began his career in 1990 as a reporter and photographer for Our Town, a New York-based weekly community newspaper.  In Russia, he worked as a journalist at TASS News Agency, as Senior Editor of the Moscow Guardian and as host and news director of "Good News From Moscow," an English-language television program.  He also helped found Prestige Radio, Russia’s first jazz radio station.

Mr. Wood graduated with a B.A. in Soviet Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989.  He studied in Russia and France, and is fluent in Russian and conversant in French.  He lives in New York City with his wife and son.
